Basic Courses

Build a Strong Foundation in Alternative Dispute Resolution

ACIAM’s Basic Courses are designed for individuals who wish to develop a strong foundation in arbitration, mediation, Online Dispute Resolution (ODR), and other Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) mechanisms. These programmes introduce participants to the legal framework, institutional processes, and practical application of modern dispute resolution in both domestic and international contexts.

Combining conceptual learning with practical discussions and interactive sessions, the courses provide participants with the knowledge and confidence required to understand ADR processes and their growing role in commercial and legal practice. Whether you are beginning your ADR journey or seeking to broaden your professional skill set, ACIAM’s Basic Courses offer an ideal starting point for developing a practice-oriented understanding of dispute resolution. The courses cover both theoretical concepts and practical applications, enabling participants to appreciate the role of institutional ADR in today’s evolving legal and commercial landscape.

Programme Schedule

Applications for all programmes are accepted on a rolling basis throughout the year.

Courses are conducted in two annual training clusters:

  • May – June
  • November – December

Each programme will commence upon achieving the minimum enrolment of ten (10) participants. Applicants who register outside an ongoing training cycle will automatically be considered for the next scheduled training cluster.
